I looked through a few aftermarket catalogues over here, and although there isn't much available for the Savage, there are many Harley Sportster racks that can easily be adapted and the price is anywhere from $45 to $90.
Your rack looks very well made, but my wife sometimes rides with me on short trips, so the pad on the backrest is essential, so your's needs to include the mounting for it.
What would be your price without chrome ? Tomorrow when I get a bit more time, I'll scan some pictures of Harley-style racks that are available and email them to you.
Also, look on Suzuki's website...I think it's www.suzukicycle.com......check out their luggage rack.....it's oK for supporting one of those bags that attach to the backrest.
